“ We stopped here during a short road trip. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We got the Whole Cheesesteak and a Whole Whitehouse Special. The food was really good and definitely worth the money. My only critique would be to add some salt and pepper to the Cheesesteak. Otherwise, it was fabulous. I'll definitely be returning when the weather warms up. ”

White House Subs in AC, with it's one of a kind ambiance, service and food to travel for is an experience to be had by anyone who wants to eat something famous. You'll feel like a local expert once you've left the casino and eaten at this historic shop. “ Just can't go wrong with their sandwiches. Anytime I wind up in AC, at some point I get a sandwich. The cheese steaks are excellent with provolone and onions. I tried the signature meatball sub and was not impressed. Definitely worth trying ”
“ This place is everything you want in a New Jersey sub shop. Its on a corner, you enter a small shotgun style building where booths are on the right side, bartop and prep area on the left. Ladies are "rude" but direct and funny in that they keep everyone in line during the busy time. Dont be surprised when you're asked to wait outside on the street because there just isn't a ton of room inside to wait if its busy. I got there just before a rush and by the time I ate and walked out there must have been 30 people waiting OUTSIDE on the street to get in. Got the Original Italian and they jam pack this thing with meat and veggies. 10" is the normal size, you can get a bigger version! Italian bread was slightly a little crusty for me, but it was more than perfectly fine for the sub. I just like a slightly softer bread. Meat was flavorful and the various liquids on the sub where spoti on for acidity and flavor. DO NOT MISS this spot for lunch if you're in town. Places like this are very rare and a look into how life was before big corporate entities moved in and killed off anything special. ”

“ This place is awesome. Been here forever, 1946 I believe. Looks like an old dinner and the inside is the same. There are some small booths to eat in. If you're in eating in, you grab a table and a waitress will take your order. You can also takeout as well. Our server was super nice and the sandwiches came out quick. The whole is basically two sandwiches so make sure your bring your appetite. The steak and the Italian were delicious and again huge portions. There are plenty of pics of the famous people that have come over the years. I will definitely be back. Awesome spot ”
“ I was at a friend's place close by the Atlantic City area this weekend, and why not try a real Philly Cheesesteak? (I've never had one before) White House offers everyone a nationally renown sandwich like no other! This Atlantic City staple will have you waiting in line for at least 40 minutes but once you're sitting at the table, you will enjoy your sandwich like never before. The subs are delivered across the country but went around Atlantic City and in the mood for a fresh option, go to White House. there's also one found inside the Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City. Casual deliciousness you will enjoy! A++ ”

Tough parking, be patient and circle the block a few times to find a spot. Wear washable clothes - you will leave smelling like a hoagie. Friendly employees. Clean bathroom. Eat-in or takeout. Reasonable prices. They accept credit cards (now, post-Covid). Flavorful ingredients on Formica Freitag bakery rolls. You can buy the bread from the bakery across the street. Dynamite combination. Yup, I'm going back. Each and every trip to AC. ”
